About ParentPlayer
A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER
As the founder of ParentPlayer, and a former player turned academy parent, my goal is to help players reach their full potential, whatever that may be. If they don’t reach the heights they dream of, I want them to leave the game with a love that never fades, with no resentment, no regrets but pride in who they are and what they gave.
I say this not just as someone who’s been through the system but as a Dad of a current international and academy player in the UK. My main purpose, before anything else, is to support my son as he works to reach his full potential and to help him come out of the experience mentally and emotionally okay, with a real sense of pride in what he has achieved.
Academy football can be one of the best environments a child can experience, full of opportunity, structure and life lessons but if it’s not managed right, it can also be toxic. The key is keeping perspective, staying grounded, being grateful and not letting the highs get too high or the lows too low.
ParentPlayer came from my own journey. I was offered a professional contract at a very young age but not long after, I suffered a breakdown. My whole identity had been built around being the footballer and when that disappeared, so did my sense of purpose. I had no one to turn to who really understood.
That experience showed me what’s missing. Not more technical coaching but emotional support, real conversations and a strong network for both players and parents.
At ParentPlayer, we bring together families, clubs, trusted agents, coaches and sponsorship platforms not just to create opportunities but to help parents and players feel supported and prepared for everything the journey brings. I want parents to see how powerful their role is, not to coach or critique but to support, listen and protect their child’s sense of self.
This isn’t just about football. It’s about people. It’s about identity, confidence and coming out the other side stronger, wiser and still in love with the game.

At ParentPlayer, we support parents and players at every level of football, from grassroots clubs to elite academies. We know football can be one of the best experiences a child has, full of opportunity, structure and important life lessons but if it’s not managed well, it can feel overwhelming and even toxic.
Our support covers many areas, including practical programmes that help parents, players and coaches understand who they are on the inside. This helps them navigate their feelings and manage their emotions, so they can handle the ups and downs of the game with confidence and balance.

We also connect families with clubs, coaches, trusted agents and sponsorship platforms, not just to create opportunities but to prepare everyone mentally and emotionally for the journey ahead. With real guidance form the right professionals.
We help parents see that their role is unique and powerful. It’s not about coaching or critiquing but about supporting, listening and protecting their child’s sense of self.
